REDEMPTION
God sent Christ to die on the cross to redeem us from our fallen nature and sin. God’s act of redemption in Christ brings about our justification with Him, creating the capacity for us to be in a relationship with God. Once we have become Christ-followers by accepting the redeeming work of Christ into our lives, we have the power to experience a new life in Christ. God continues His work of redemption throughout our lives by forgiving our sins and freeing us from our past failures, giving us a present with purpose, and a future with hope.
RELATIONSHIPS
We believe God created us to be in relationship with Him. He sent His Son Jesus to mend our broken relationship with Him. Maintaining a relationship with God involves daily prayer, Bible reading, obedience, and connecting with believers. We were also created to be in relationships with each other. As God surveyed His creation, He identified that it is not good for man to be alone and therefore created a companion for Adam. Our created purpose for relationships is met when we connect with God in a loving relationship through Christ and when we connect with others in loving relationships in Christ.
